Is Verizon's Pixel 3 Exclusivity Coming to an End?

Known for its excellent camera, the Pixel 3 (and its larger counterpart the Pixel 3 XL) are Google's flagship phones for 2018.

The Honor 20 series, OnePls 7 and even the Asus Zenfone 6 are all of interest to us, and now it appears Google is adding to the mix as indications have now emerged the Google Pixel 3A could launch in May. It's unclear whether the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL will keep the dual front-facing camera set-up seen on their pricier siblings, which enable the ultra-wide group selfies.

Google is gearing up for its annual developers' conference, the Google I/O 2019. But after sitting through one minute of men in tights, egregious computer-generated special effects, and Google hardware and services marketing, I came away dumber for the experience: The video appears to feature both the Pixel 3 and 3XL, which shipped last fall. Apparently, the Un-carrier has already begun testing the Pixel 3a and it's quite possible that it will start selling the phone along with the other Pixel phones mentioned earlier.

The Pixel 3a was also recently leaked on Google's own website. A full Android Q release can be expected at the time of the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL launch. Remember, it's thought the new Pixel 3a lineup will feature a new purple-ish colour option at launch, so the page could be hinting at that. The Pixel 3a lineup takes aim at the budget side of the market and could help to improve the company's market share among shoppers who aren't so keen on spending heavily for a new smartphone.
