Sniper Elite V2 Remastered Officially Announced VR Version & Sniper Elite 5

Sniper Elite V2 Remastered will be released in 2019. The centerpiece of the announcement is the next major Sniper Elite game, though the announcement shies away from calling it "Sniper Elite 5" by name.

The UK developer and publisher announced today not one, not two, not three, but four Sniper Elite Projects, including the next mainline entry, which will presumably be Sniper Elite 5.

As for the Sniper Elite game for VR, Rebellion said that a full reveal will be made later this year.

There is also a new standalone Sniper Elite VR game in development alongside British studio Just Add Water (Oddworld, Gravity Crash). So yeah, this seems like a game targeting next-generation platforms.

As announced in a stunning gameplay trailer, Sniper Elite V2 Remastered launches on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch in 2019.

The first of those projects will be a remaster of Sniper Elite V2, which will see players return to the Berlin campaign in the closing moments of the Second World War. All DLC will be included in the new bundle alongside multiplayer support for up to 16 players. More details he said would be released later this year. For those of you who may not remember, Sniper Elite 3 is actually set in North Africa and serves as a prequel to Sniper Elite V2, which itself was a mix between a sequel and remake of the original Sniper Elite from 2005. I don't know about you, but I'm very excited!

To add to this new look for Sniper Elite V2, eight new characters from the Zombie Army series of games have joined the roster of soldiers to play in both the single player and multiplayer modes (Deathmatch, Distance King, Dogtag Harvest, and Capture the Flag).

You do indeed get to kill Hitler, and in many interesting ways in the most recent installment.
