Sephora drops Lori Loughlin’s daughter Olivia Jade in wake of admissions scandal

The FBI has charged Olivia's mother, famous actress Lori Loughlin, on suspicion of sending $500,000 worth of bribes to try and get Olivia into the University of Southern California (USC).

Over the course of her time in the spotlight, she's built up a mammoth following and even managed to secure partnerships with several major brands including Amazon, TRESemmé, Smile Direct and more.

"After careful review of recent developments, we have made the decision to end the Sephora Collection partnership with Olivia Jade, effective immediately", a rep told HollywoodLife.

"In an e-mail, a USC spokesperson said there are "[six] students in the current admissions cycle who've been identified as [connected] to the scheme".

"HP worked with Lori Loughlin and Olivia Jade in 2017 for a one-time product campaign", HP said in a statement. The actress and her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, allegedly paid $500,000 to have their two daughters - Olivia Jade and her older sister, Isabella Rose - designated as recruits for USC's crew team.

The biggest college admissions scam ever prosecuted in the US is a harsh reminder that wealthy families can cheat their way to even greater privilege.

As previously reported, Lori and her husband Mossimo Giannulli were arrested for their alleged involvement in a college admissions cheating scam. Olivia Jade Giannulli, 19, has 1.9 million YouTube followers and 1.3 million Instagram followers, and regularly posts about life in university, as well as sponsored content and make-up tutorials.

Olivia has since come under fire for "ignorant" comments she has made about college, including an interview just last week in which she admitted that she only went to college because her parents forced her.

CNN has reached out to representatives for the couple. She is accused of paying bribes to get her daughter accepted to the University of Southern California, or USC.

Past year she caused controversy when she posted a vlog talking about her plans to go to college.

Loughlin, who appeared in "Full House", was among 50 people charged in a wide-ranging bribery scam.

She posted a video to her YouTube channel on the day she was due to start college previous year, saying: 'I don't know how much of school I'm gonna attend. "But I do want the experience of game days, partying".

Olivia Jade Giannulli has been facing backlash on Instagram as well, with individuals leaving hordes of negative comments on paid posts that allude to her status as a university student.

The lawsuit also named the University of California, Los Angeles, Wake Forest, Georgetown University and others. It just seems that she doesn't always think of the consequences of what she says. Andrew Lelling, the United States attorney for MA stated that the people arrested include nine coaches, two examination administrators, one exam proctor, one college administrator and 33 parents.
