Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 with 'ultra-slim' case goes on sale today

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 with 'ultra-slim' case goes on sale today

The highlight of Redmi Note 7 is its dual rear camera setup featuring a 12-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel secondary depth sensor to add DSLR like bokeh effects to your photos. The screen shown in the images spotted at TENAA is turned off so it's hard to know that whether it will come with a waterdrop notch or a regular one.

The Redmi Note 7 is going on sale in Malaysia very soon and Xiaomi has finally dropped its official launch date for our local market. The video also reveals the latest MIUI version on the phone. The TENAA listing for the Redmi Note 7 (China) was for model number M1901F7, and the back of the phone on the right says F7G. The rear panel is also seen sporting a circular fingerprint sensor which will help in unlocking the smartphone.

To confirm if the device on the left is indeed the Redmi 7, we reverse-searched the watermarked IMEI. The price of the Redmi Note 7 device starts at Rs 9,999. The listing suggests that the Redmi 7 will come in three variants - 2GB RAM/ 16GB storage, 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage, and 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage. However, they do get a better Redmi Note 7 Pro version that comes with a more powerful Snapdragon 675 and that unit comes with a 48MP + 5MP dual-camera setup. The listing shows the Redmi 7 with a 6.26-inch LCD display with 1520 x 720 pixels resolution and aspect ratio of 19:9.

If the video is to be believed, Redmi 7 will come with a waterdrop notch on the front with fairly thicker bezels around the screen. As per a second report, the Redmi 7 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 632. There's a high-end variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage option as well. We doubt if the phone has a Gorilla Glass protection, but since the Redmi Note 7 has Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and back, we expect the Redmi 7 to have some sort of protection for the display. The selfie camera is 13 MP.
