Speaking of Pokemon themselves, the series has introduced three new starter creatures: Grookey, an extraordinarily cute chimp-looking little thing; Scorbunny, a creepy-ass rabbit; and Sobble, which is being described as a lizard-like creature, but resembles no lizard I have ever laid my eyes on. Bursting with energy, Scorbunny, a Fire-type Rabbit Pokemon, is always running about. Fans are also reassured Nintendo has plenty more planned for the Pokemon brand alongside these new releases.

Just as we expected, Nintendo revealed the first core Pokemon RPG titles for the Switch on Wednesday morning during the Pokemon Direct live stream.

Pokemon Sword and Shield will be coming out sometime in late 2019, as stated by The Pokemon Company.

"We love Pokemon and we know you do, too!" reads a Niantic post. Maybe it's time for us to see where Pokemon goes if Game Freak lets go of convention and takes a few risks itself.
