Samsung Galaxy S10e Name Confirmed Officially Ahead of February 20 Launch

Samsung has opened up reservations for the Galaxy S10 a week ahead of its debut. We had heard from one case maker before that the Galaxy S10's in-display fingerprint sensor may not work with screen protectors, and that limitation seems to be confirmed in this leaked video. It suggests that the phone could come with a Super AMOLED display, which is missing in the Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20. Both could have a bigger 6.7-inch display as well.

The phones will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, while the worldwide market variant, which will come to India as well, will have the Exynos 9820 processor on board.

For all 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM models, there are three colour options available - Prism White, Prism Green and Prism Black. For selfies, the Galaxy S10 will sport a 10-megapixel (f/1.9) camera. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S10e comes with a dual-camera setup consisting of a 12MP 1/.5 main camera with variable aperture and a secondary 16MP f/2.2 camera for ultra-wide-angle. On the front, a 10MP "main" camera, as well as an 8MP "live focus" camera for shooting portrait-style selfies.

With the exception of Galaxy S10+ which will have a wider pill-shaped hole for dual front-cameras, S10 and S10 Lite will only get one camera at the front. You can learn more about the expected camera features here. The videos reveal some key information about the Galaxy S10 like in-display fingerprint sensor, OIS-enabled selfie camera, and reverse wireless charging support. It scans your fingerprint in 3D for better security.

The leaked cover for the "Galaxy S10e" includes a gap for the power button - further evidence that this version of the range will have a fingerprint reader on the side of the device. Meanwhile, the affordable and compact S10e is listed with a 3,100mAh battery.
