Knicks rookie Kevin Knox admits he wanted to play with Kristaps Porzingis

Rumors around the league suggests the Knicks front office are not only gunning for Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant, but are nearly sure that they will sign him in free agency. One of the biggest rumors out there right now is that the Knicks will somehow get Kevin Durant and possibly another big-name player.

The team is clearly hedging its bets on landing Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving or both, and in one of the Knicks' recent season ticket promotions, a photo of Durant in-game against the Knicks was used.

Several of the team's season-ticket holders went on social media earlier in the weekend to show off the images taken from the Knicks website, including the photo of Durant and Robinson.

Hard to imagine that this particular photo choice was an unintentional oversight.

Durant has won two consecutive National Basketball Association titles since joining the Warriors as a free agent before the 2016-17 season.

The photo was part of a pitch to season-ticket holders to renew their packages for the 2019-20 season. Another fan corroborated the image before the Knicks eventually took it down.

The Knicks are expected to pursue the 30-year-old Warriors star if he becomes a free agent this summer.

The Knicks will reportedly have $70 million in cap space at the end of the season and were recently crowned the most valuable team in the National Basketball Association, at an evaluation of $4 billion.

Don't read anything into the use of the photo, however, the team urged in a statement released Sunday night.
