Diana Ross Celebrates 75th Birthday With Family and on Grammy Stage

Considered one of the most important events in music history, the show had to be abandoned halfway through due to heavy rain, with Ross returning the next day to finish the show.

It's a year-long birthday celebration for Diana Ross!

Raif-Henok Emmanuel Kendrick has the Internet declaring he "stole the show" after he spoke on-stage to introduce his grandmother Diana Ross' performance at the 2019 Grammys.

"I envisioned a dream and that's what I created over those two days in Central Park", she said. But the limelight was nearly stolen from right under her nose, by her own grandson - 9-year-old Raif, the son of her eldest daughter, Rhonda Ross Kendrick, 47.

Next up the lead singer of the Supremes sang her solo hit "Reach and Touch".

"Together we have no limits. All is possible with music and with you".

While singing the heartfelt track, Diana came into the audience where she reached out and touched her daughter Tracee Ellis Ross, and even got Jaden Smith to sing the song on the mic.

After telling the crowd "don't be lazy" as she prompted everyone to stand, she ended the performance by exclaiming, "Happy birthday to me!"

This isn't the first time that Ross has earned special recognition from the Recording Academy: In 2012, the singer was honored with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.
