Google Maps For Android & iOS Will Now Indicate Speed Limits

According to Android Police, there have already been crash and speed trap reports back in November 2018, however it was only limited to certain users and still not globally available. In the given screenshot you can clearly be seen that speed cameras are identified on the screen, and with the help of audio notification, the drivers get alert while they are on the road.

Google has begun rolling out speed limits for Google Maps throughout the US. But it is also being said that the similar speed camera icons are not being visible when revisiting the same location while browsing Maps.

Whether it's accidents, heavy traffic, or police, the app will notify you while you're driving to your destination, and it'll even suggest better routes based on this information.

Google Maps is beginning to roll out speed limits to more users across the US. It's a very popular feature on Waze because it does allow users to see how fast they should be going. Here's what we know about the new Google Maps update on the iOS and Android devices. Also in Germany, some of the test persons have spotted the new feature. The new feature can be found within the "public transport" and "cab" modes in Google Maps. Shockingly, they don't even possess a proprietary Global Positioning System algorithm of their own and instead use Google Maps, while some do nothing but blast ads on the phone screen. With the speed alerts coming to Maps, the two are stepping on each other toes a little more.

The new commute tab is located in the toolbar at the bottom of the Google Maps app, between the "Explore" and "For you" tabs.

After spending a lot of time in the background regarding its use for vehicle travel, Google Maps is finally catching up with Waze. Both features are available in the United Kingdom and US users of the app. The report on Mashable says the speed limits will come for users in US, UK, and Denmark.
