Aaron Ramsey agrees to join Juventus from Arsenal in the summer

It is confirmed that Arsenal's midfielder, Aaron Ramsey will move to Juventus on free transfer when his contract expires with the club at the end of the season.

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri and director Fabio Paratici are believed to be huge admirers of Ramsey, who could not agree to a contract extension with Arsenal and is set to leave the club on a free deal after spending 10 years with the Gunners. Ramsey will be paid around £140,000 a week (£7.2m a season), making him the Italian club's second highest earner behind Cristiano Ronaldo but ahead of other starts such as Paulo Dybala and Douglas Costa.

Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey celebrates scoring their third goal during their Premier League match with Fulham at Emirates Stadium in London January 1, 2019.

Ramsey has made over 350 appearances for Arsenal since signing from Cardiff in 2008.

"In the last match I was very happy with him". He asked in Blackpool to play, he said: "Coach, I want to play".

"His future is individually for him, for his family, his agent". Every day he's here with us, he's working very well.

But BBC Sport say Ramsey has not decided where he will play yet even though Juventus is his "current preference". "I want his behaviour and his focus to be on West Ham on Saturday".

"We can not sign permanently".

But it became clear that Ramsey's desire to play as a number eight, running on to the ball from an advanced central midfield position, clashed with Emery's vision.

Arsenal sit fifth in the Premier League, just three points off the top four, and are also into the last 32 of the Europa League and FA Cup.
