With no separate light source, the displays are also extremely lightweight and thin, making them flexible enough to be rolled, as shown in the LG Signature OLED TV R (model 65R9). The price and availability of the Signature Oled TV R has not been confirmed.

Line View allows the TV to be partially unrolled, allowing for management of specific tasks that do not require the full TV screen.

LG Signature OLED TV R will be available for buying in the USA before the end of the year.

To foster new growth drivers, Kwon said LG has been shifting its focus from LCD to OLED to target the growing premium TV market.

When in Zero View, all 65 inches of the LG SIGNATURE OLED TV R is hidden from view, tucked away in the base.

"In Line View, users can choose from features such as Clock, Frame, Mood, Music and Home Dashboard", said the company.

The company also showed off its new home brewing beer system for the first time, having first announced it previous year. In addition, all 2019 LG TV will make use of LG's α9 Gen 2 processor to offer enhanced picture and sound by analysing the content source and the ambient conditions around the TV to deliver more optimised content. "It is meaningful that we showed how far displays have evolved".

In "Zero View", the entire TV retracts into the base, looking like a media cabinet piece of futniture - although it can still play music via a 4.2-channel, 100W front-firing Dolby Atmos audio system. The Smart TV from LG comes loaded with Amazon Alexa voice assistant and it also supports Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit. LG pitches this as ideal for action movies and sports, although it should also be ideal for gaming where the slightest bit of unintended blur can spoil the experience.
