Samsung reportedly working on Galaxy A50 and Galaxy M20 smartphones

Apple led the global premium smartphone segment capturing 47 percent share of the segment, followed by Samsung (22 percent), Huawei (12 percent), Vivo (five percent ), Oppo (five percent) and Xiaomi (three per cent), Tarun Pathak, Associate Director at Counterpoint Technology Market Research, wrote in a blog post on Saturday.

Samsung brought One UI to the Galaxy S9 series of devices on December 24th, but hasn't done the same for its latest flagship, the Note 9.

Hence, we can expect to see Galaxy A8s-like Infinity-O display or Infinity-V display that is likely to be introduced with the Galaxy M-series. The Galaxy A50 will also feature a 24-megapixel front-facing camera according to recent rumors, although the report notes that the device could potentially feature more than one selfie shooter.

As per a report by Galaxy Club, the Galaxy A50 will feature an impressive 4000mAh battery. The report also says that Samsung Galaxy A50 will sport a 24MP primary camera.

Samsung is now working on a new Galaxy A-series smartphone, dubbed Samsung Galaxy A50.

The leak suggests that Galaxy A50 will be powered by an octa-core Exynos 9610 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage.

Much like with the iPhone X notch design, which Samsung did not copy, the Korean smartphone vendor has not made use of in-display fingerprint sensors so far. Galaxy S10 series of phones are said to launch running on Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box.

Samsung's Galaxy A50 smartphone is also expected to come with wireless charging as well as an in-display fingerprint scanner, as the company has said that it plans to bring the two technologies to its mid-tier devices.
