Andrea Pirlo urges Juventus to sign Aaron Ramsey

Andrea Pirlo believes that Juventus could benefit from pulling off a major swoop for Aaron Ramsey.

"Ramsey is a great purchase", Pirlo told Sky Sport Italia, according to FourFourTwo.

Ramsey is set to leave Arsenal at the end of the season after the Premier League side withdrew their offer of a contract renewal, to the player's surprise.

"Juventus are preparing to pull off another excellent deal".

"He played yesterday with a good spirit, like I want and he helped us, not to win but he was working well".

Banega is a player who, like Ramsey, is highly respected as a distributing midfielder with a high pass completion rate.

Ramsey is not the only player Juve are looking at.

That might no longer be the case with French Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint Germain making moves to submit a big money offer for the star player when the winter transfer window reopens.

The Welshman has been with the club since 2008 and made over 300 appearances for the club over the past 10 years.

Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United, AC Milan and Bayern Munich were all linked to Ramsey earlier this season.

Where he will end up remains to be seen, but until such time Emery wants Ramsey to show commitment to Arsenal and help them achieve their goals.

'It is not easy for Aaron but I have spoken with him and we need his performances for us. "But above all I want [him to] have his focus on helping us". He needs to think about his future, for his family and for him.
