PlayStation Plus Free Games Lineup January 2019 Includes Steep And Portal Knight

Either you're really into these kinds of games, or you're not.

These six games will be available for free to download from January 1, 2019 through February 5, 2019.

Next up, we have Portal Knights. This Minecraft-style sandbox game combines collecting resources and building objects with action combat and unsafe monsters. Portal Knights also features cooperative multiplayer gameplay, allowing you to team up with friends to help take down the toughest enemies. Do keep in mind that this isn't Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner M∀RS for PS4, but the remaster for PS3.

Amplitude is undoubtedly the highlight of January's PS Plus offerings. Science fiction RPG Hellpoint developer, Marc-André Jutras from Cradle Games who previously worked with the likes of Activision and Ubisoft believes that backward compatibility will be present from launch for both the consoles. This rhythm game puts players in the cockpit of a spaceship as they blast through a scrolling track.

And for PS Vita subscribers (cross Buy with PS4), there's a free copy of Fallen Legion: Flames of Rebellion, an action role playing game. On the down side, however, it's missing several major titles like Silent Hill, Gran Turismo, Vagrant Story, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Ape Escape, PaRappa the Rappa, and Darkstalkers. The second free Vita title is Super Mutant Alien Assault. Originally, Steep is priced at $29.99 so you'll be saving some cash if you download it next month.

We hope you find something here that you'll really enjoy, and if you're a new PS4 owner, don't worry, the PlayStation Plus games are usually much better than this.
