Apple says the bent iPad Pros are not defects

Apple says the bent iPad Pros are not defects

Apple has now stepped up and acknowledged that some of the expensive tablets (stating at $799) are bent out of the box, but says that bend is a normal part of the manufacturing process. "Apple claims that concerns about the structural rigidity of iPad Pro is unfounded and that it monitors the product", says Chris Welsh. Now, Apple has responded. Interestingly, Tim Cook's company does not consider the bend a sign of defect.

The Apple is not considered the Bending as a Defect, the customer with clear consequences: you cannot expect compensation, but not more than grace hope.

A lot of iPad Pro owners later came forward with stories about bending, either from normal use like carrying it around in a backpack or straight out of the box.

It boasts masses of power, a brilliant screen and a redesigned body. "According to Apples [sic] logic, yes, this would be considered acceptable", one user said on the MacRumors forum. It was responsive but only with the iPhone 6s: thanks to a much more robust housing made it significantly harder to bend. Apple is just trying to avoid another bendgate. Furthermore, the company explains that the bending shouldn't worsen over time and the performance of the device is not in any way impacted. This should have been picked up by Apple at the factory floor level or at least immediately divulge the issue in a press release. This might not be taken in a positive light by users and potential buyers as the tablet costs Rs 71,900 (base model of 11-inch iPad Pro (2018)).

Best Buy also has this model on sale as one of their doorbusters, but it's only $60 off. The tablet sports a 9.7-inch Multi-Touch Retina display with the resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels alongside the pixel thickness of 264 ppi. The new iPads are powered the by A12x Bionic processor, which is built on the 7 nm process.
