Liverpool FC owner’s wife salutes Mo Salah after his hat-trick

Liverpool are top of the Premier League after beating Bournemouth 4-0 on Saturday lunchtime.

Salah bagged a hat-trick and Steve Cook scored an own-goal as Liverpool hit four against Eddie Howe's side.

Victory for Liverpool would take them, temporarily at least, back to the top of the Premier League.

After his virtuosic performance on the South Coast, Salah was awarded with the Premier League Man of the Match award in his post-match interview. The first one, it is a foul actually but he wants to score the goal so he stays on his feet and scores it.

"We let Bournemouth come back in the game [in 2016]; I can't say it will never happen again, but we are more in control of these situations [now]", he explained.

Liverpool struck just when the hosts were enjoying their best spell, though, as Asmir Begovic failed to hold on to Firmino's long-range shot and parried the ball out into a unsafe area, where Salah was waiting to tuck home the rebound. This league is so hard to play in, but 42 points I usually had in April and now it is December. His third goal was outstanding as well; really, how we set it up and all that stuff was good.

The fourth goal arrived with 13 minutes remaining as Salah saved the best of his hat-trick until last, beating Cook to the ball and then taking his time with the finish, dribbling past Begovic twice before nonchalantly poking the ball away from two defenders on the line.

City will have the chance to overtake Liverpool later on when they take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The Reds will now turn their attentions towards preparing for their crunch Champions League showdown against Napoli on Tuesday night at Anfield.
