Lyca Productions: ‘2.0’ grosses 500 cr at the box office!

The Hindi version of the film had a six-day total of a whopping Rs 122.50 crore on Tuesday.

Trade analyst and film critics Ramesh Bala took to his official Twitter handle to share the latest figures of the superhit 2.0.

We did tell you before that 2.0 is Rajinikanth's biggest Hindi hit ever.

Touted to be one of the most expensive films ever made in India, 2.0 was reportedly made at a budget of Rs 550 crore out of which about Rs 370 crore was recovered by selling satellite, digital and distribution rights before the release on November 29, as per a report in LiveMint.

"He wrote, "#2Point0 continues its winning streak. The Hindi version that opened at Rs 20 crore showed a remarkable growth during the weekend with its Saturday and Sunday collections reaching Rs 24 crore and Rs 33.25 crore, respectively. The science fiction stars Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar, Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey, Adil Hussain, Ishari K. Ganesh, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Kaizaad Kotwal, Anant Mahadevan and Maya S. Krishnan. Interestingly, the maker are also planning to release the film in China in more than 10,000 theaters in May 2019.

Shankar is now busy with Indian 2 pre-production work.

Karan Johar, who is presenting the Hindi version of the film, shared the news on Twitter. His other tweet read, "A box office PHENOMENA!" The film is the sequel to the 2010 super-hit film "Robot" that had Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai in lead roles.
