Sixers’ Markelle Fultz prefers a fresh start on a new team

Fultz simply doesn't look right and is nothing like the player he was touted to be coming out of college.

A day after it was reported that Philadelphia 76ers' Markelle Fultz would be seeing a shoulder specialist on Monday, The Athletic reported that Fultz was also dealing with a right wrist injury. And after going through over a year's worth of mysterious drama, the 76ers still can't seem to figure out what exactly is going on.

In some more odd news out of the National Basketball Association, embattled 76ers point guard Markelle Fultz now reportedly prefers a trade out of town in just his second season as a pro.

Don't confused the issue, though- If the Sixers can get any kind of real value for Fultz, they should at least listen. And just a few days later, the mysterious wrist injury and the want to be traded comes out of the blue, and nobody knows precisely how to react. He will not be with the team during this time.

However, in the wake of The Athletic's report Wednesday, Brothers told ESPN: "I have given no indication to Elton Brand or anyone else that Markelle would prefer to be traded".

"It's a insane situation", Sixers center Joel Embiid said. Since Embiid missed a significant amount of time himself early on, he definitely feels like he can relate to Markelle.

The Wizards (5-11) have resisted involving Wall or Beal in previous trade talks, including discussions that they held for the league's past two available stars, Kawhi Leonard and Jimmy Butler, league sources said. In this picture, head coach Brett Brown of the Philadelphia 76ers talks to Fultz #20 in the first quarter against the Chicago Bulls at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Oct. 18, 2018. As Simmons prepared for Wednesday's game, he came off as uninterested with fielding questions and made it very clear that he wouldn't answer anymore Fultz questions moving forward.
