NZ A secure drawn series with Pakistan A

Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed has slammed New Zealand batsman Ross Taylor for making a "disgraceful" throwing gesture when facing Mohammad Hafeez during their ODI in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.

Shaheen Shah Afridi led the charge, picking up four wickets for 38 runs as he disintegrated the Kiwis' middle-order.

Abu Dhabi - Pakistan suffered an injury setback to pace spearhead Junaid Khan, as New Zealand won the toss and opted to bat in the second day-night global in Abu Dhabi on Friday.

Left-handed Zaman hit 11 boundaries in his aggressive half century and Babar Azam notched 46 off 50 balls as Pakistan raced to 212-4 in 40.3 overs to level the three-match series.

Team management originally said that the 22-year-old would undergo CT scans and be monitored for the next 48 hours.

Having taken 3-36 two days earlier Ferguson took 3-60 in game two, and ended opener Imam-ul-Haq's night when he rattled his helmet grille.

Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik also allayed fears of a serious injury by posting a picture with Imam-ul-Haq.

Fakhar timed the ball exquisitely, reaching his half-century by cutting Sodhi for four and setting about Boult, who summed up his side's effort in the field with a wild throw at the stumps that went for four overthrows.

Pakistan beat New Zealand by six wickets in the second day-night global in Abu Dhabi on Friday but the match was overshadowed by a worrying injury to opening batsman Imam-ul-Haq who was taken to hospital after being hit on the head by a short ball.

The result ends a 12-match winning streak the Black Caps had over Pakistan in the format.

New Zealand A endured some anxious moments on the final afternoon before securing a draw in their last tour match against Pakistan A in Abu Dhabi.

With the ball New Zealand were playing catch-up, even more so when the first wicket didn't fall until the 29th over as Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam swung hard.

Once Afridi got opener Colin Munro in the second over and ran out Kane Williamson in the fourth, George Worker and Ross Taylor painstakingly rebuilt.
