PUBG PS4 Release Could Happen as Early as December, Reports Suggest

Xbox One owners can now get PUBG (PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds) and PES (Pro Evolution Soccer) 2019 for free from the Windows store. However, with the game already being on the PlayStation Games Database, it is likely to be sooner rather than later. A PSNProfiles user says that Sony's servers have updated with the game's title picture and content ID.

The release of PUBG on PS4 wouldn't come as too much of a surprise.

A user on PS4Profiles, on online forum, provided images and Content ID codes apparently found on the PS4 game database. Reliable analyst Daniel Ahmad suggested this week that the Battle Royale will deploy on the PlayStation 4 in December, and now Eurogamer.net has corroborated the reports.

If you're an Xbox One owner on the hunt for something new to play, a new promotion from Microsoft just might have you covered. The original Xbox One release of the game in preview was in mid-December last year, which would fit the end of a "one year exclusive" period. PUBG has not yet been announced for PS4. You'd think a game that's barely two months old wouldn't even be discounted in a sale, let alone offered for free, but hey, we're not complaining. One of those can be seen above, an image not unlike the other promotional pieces for PUBG. In between, PUBG Mobile was released on Android and iOS.
