American Horror Story: Apocalypse Trailer Promises Chaos & Carnage

American Horror Story: Apocalypse Trailer Promises Chaos & Carnage

"American Horror Story" Season 8 premieres Wednesday, September 12 at 10 PM ET/PT on FX.

Unlike the cryptic promos that have come before, this preview gives American Horror Story fans a first look at the stars in action.

Aside from the individuals who are spotlighted in this trailer, Apocalypse will also make room for Stevie Nicks as Stevie Nicks, Lily Rabe as Misty Day and Gabourey Sidibe as Queenie, among others.

It was previously announced most of the returning cast members would come back for the eighth season, including Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Adina Porter, Cheyenne Jackson, Billy Eichner, Leslie Grossman and Billie Lourd, as well as franchise newcomers Joan Collins and Cody Fern. But she's going to have some trouble with Michael Langdon. This season marks the first time McDermott has returned to the series. In fact, Peters and Paulson will each play three characters in the upcoming crossover.

But there's also some weird witch stuff going on and you'll recognize familiar faces from days past, including the ladies of Coven and that dang Rubber Man from Murder House.

For years, Ryan Murphy has been teasing a season of American Horror Story that would mash-up the characters from the show's first season, the ghost story Murder House, and the show's witch-centric third season, Coven.

And what's coming is seemingly the end of the world. The trailer then flashes text that confirms this season is a mashup of Murder House and Coven, promising that old characters are "back with a vengeance".

There's quick shots of Evan Peters and Jessica Lange as well, and series stalwart Emma Roberts closes things out by telling someone off-camera: "I bet you'd thought you'd seen the last of me".
