Lacazette strike gives Arsenal victory away to Cardiff

Arsenal battled hard to for the second win of Unai Emery's tenure as manager - a 3-2 triumph at Cardiff on Sunday. A flick from outside of the boot from Lacazette saw the ball travel to Aubameyang, who then curled it in from distance to get Arsenal's second.

Arsenal took the lead on the 11th minute as defender Shkodran Mustafi rose well from a corner to head past Cardiff goalkeeper Neil Etheridge.

"He fires it into Lacazette, it's not the greatest of flicks but Aubameyang, nice first touch when he receives it, it's up round his knees".

Cardiff entered the game as the only team in the top four English leagues who had yet to score a league goal this season, so it must have felt like a blessing coming up against Arsenal's notoriously shaky defence.

The Premier League match between Cardiff and Arsenal will be broadcast on NBCSN.

The edgy beginning of his reign at Arsenal with two consecutive defeats to Manchester City and Chelsea respectively has not put away smile from the eyes of the former PSG manager whenever he sees his players. But they managed to get two against Arsenal's defence, which has been very bad all four games so far this season.

Some fans turned on Granit Xhaka after his error nearly cost Arsenal during our thrilling 3-2 victory over Watford at Vicarage Road this afternoon.

Going into this match, the Bluebirds hadn't beaten Arsenal in the past 13 matches between the two sides, with their last victory against the north London side coming way back in 1961.

The hosts equalised shortly before half-time, however, as Victor Camarasa found space in the box and fired a shot into the roof of the net.

Cardiff again bounced back, though, as Jamie Ward dispatched a header with immaculate accuracy. After beating West Ham last week, the Gunners have a little bit of momentum entering this one, as they look to overcome their slow start to the campaign.

Substituted for Danny Welbeck with minutes to spare, some may wonder if Ozil deserves a starting place in Emery's new system.
