Fentanyl? Disturbing Details About Demi Lovato’s Suspected Overdose

The singer, who was hospitalized on July 24 after an apparent overdose, is now undergoing treatment in a Chicago facility - and it looks like she'll be there for some time. "More open and happy, that gets the necessary help she began to understand the full horror of the incident and the fact that she nearly died", explains a source.

Demi was reportedly having a party at her Hollywood Hills home on July 24 when she allegedly phoned a drug dealer that she was using since April. The "Sorry Not Sorry" singer temporarily left rehab a few days after entering in order to seek out further specialist treatment with a therapist in Chicago who specializes in addiction. "It is something I must continue to overcome". Her family has been in contact with him and updating him about her status, but is also focused on eliminating all distractions so she can really focus on her health.

After coming to her house, the source has alleged that they both freebased Oxycodone on tin foil. However, the batch "appeared to be laced with fentanyl". Paramedics used the emergency medication Narcan to revive her before rushing her to a Los Angeles hospital for treatment.

Demi was immediately brought to the hospital, where she remained for two weeks, before being transferred to an out-of-state rehab facility.
