Ayew joins Crystal Palace on season-long loan from Swansea City

Graham Potter has hit out at striker Jordan Ayew after revealing the striker has refused to train with the Swansea City first team amidst speculation over his future.

Crystal Palace had been linked with a move for last season's top scorer at the Liberty Stadium all summer but that had appeared to collapse until the player went AWOL in order to force Swansea listen to bids for him.

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish says that his club are very happy with the signing of Jordan Ayew on a season-long loan from Swansea City.

The 26-year-old has been with the Swans since January 2017 but only scored eight times in 51 appearances for the south Wales club. "It's a step up for me and I'm ready for the challenge and to get to where I think I can get to".

Riedewald is one of two Palace players who could leave Selhurst Park on deadline day, with Ornstein claiming that offers are on the table for him and Jason Puncheon.

"I chose to come to Palace to continue improving".

The Eagles announced the deal on their official website nearly two hours after the transfer window closed, with the Ghana worldwide becoming their fourth signing of the window.
