Nintendo Switch online services confirmed to launch second half of September

Nintendo Switch Online will be arriving later in September.

Nintendo is getting closer to revealing the release date for its Switch Online Service. Today, Nintendo narrowed that release window down a bit, but it still hasn't gotten as specific as many people would probably like.

While we knew Nintendo Switch Online was launching in September, we didn't know exactly when. That means it's going be between five and seven weeks before we get to enjoy all the extras that come with the subscription.

Right now, we know for sure that " Splatoon 2", "ARMS", "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe", "Mario Tennis Aces.", and "Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido" will require the subscription, and other games will "vary".

The wait was long for Nintendo Switch Online but its nearly here after numerous delays.

Subscribers also get other benefits like a collection of online-enabled NES games such as Super Mario Bros.

Once Nintendo Switch Online releases, you'll need a subscription to play your Switch games online.

We'll update as soon as more details about the service are released. Subscribers will also get to back up their save data to the cloud, which is seen by many as a necessary feature as there's no easy way to back up save data now.
