The View Is Adding A Fox News Host To Replace Sara Haines

A source familiar with the situation told Deadline Huntsman is expected to land at The View, though no deal is done.

Huntsman, who now co-hosts Fox & Friends Weekend, is set to replace Sara Haines, who announced her departure from the long-running ABC show last week to join the third hour of Good Morning America.

Fox News anchor Abby Huntsman is reportedly leaving her post co-hosting "Fox & Friends Weekend" to join the all-female panel of ABC's "The View".

The hosts of "The View", with Huntsman's addition, will be: Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Meghan McCain, and now Abby Huntsman. This weekend will be Huntsman's last with Fox.

Fox confirmed the news to Media ITE, though Huntsman has yet to make a statement. She joined Fox News as a reporter in 2015.

"This has been a dream I've always had to be on this show", she said of The View.

Huntsman previously worked on MSNBC's "The Cycle", which featured hosts including Ari Melber and Krystal Ball who held a range of political opinions.

Huntsman is also the daughter of former Republican presidential candidate Gov. John Huntsman (R-Utah), who is now President Donald Trump's U.S. Ambassador to Russian Federation.
