Michael Moore Calls Trump ‘The Last President’ in ‘Fahrenheit 11/9’ Trailer

Michael Moore's Donald Trump critique Fahrenheit 11/9 will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival before hitting theatres September 21.

The Oscar-winning film-maker has been focusing on the effect of the president in an attempt to shift public perception before November. "We're going to bring Trump down".

In the new film, Moore appears to try and make sense of the seething national rage that propelled Donald Trump to power.

Flint, Michigan's man-made, lead-poisoned water crisis began in 2014 and resulted in strict regulations being enacted at a state level in 2018, with the water's lead levels finally dropping below federal safety levels in 2017.

Moore released the footage Thursday, six weeks before the documentary hits theaters on September 21.

In the first footage from the film, we see Moore speak to Parkland student and activist David Hogg and rising Democratic star Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

In a Q&A with the HuffPost, Moore described Trump as an "evil genius" who has "no intention of leaving the White House" without a fight.

Besides heavily hinting at a dystopian reality here in the United States, just as Fahrenheit 9/11's title did, Moore's new doc switches the titular date to reference Trump's appointment as president. Conservatives won't watch it (unless they convince themselves to hate-watch it to somehow "own the libs") and liberals may be too exhausted with the onslaught of political news to give it much thought.

The documentary will premiere at this year's Toronto film festival before a U.S. release on 21 September. "If nothing else, I hope this film exposes that grave danger and shows people the way out".

This film will be Moore's second film about the president. It's the lazy way out. We don't need hope.
