Assassin's Creed Odyssey Leak Reveals Romance, Release Date, More

One major returning aspect of the series for Assassin's Creed: Odyssey is the naval combat system, most prominently featured in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.

The trailer focuses on a new character, a Spartan cast out by his family as a child, who then has to fight to earn his spot back in a society defined by honor. The company first teased the game in late May with a brief teaser, one it has expanded up on with a longer two minute trailer and all the details we'd expect. Once you choose one character, that will be it for the rest of the game, so no character switching like we saw in Assassin's Creed Syndicate. We're also going to be scouring E3 and the internet for breaking stories, interesting tidbits, and rumours of what is still to be announced.

Expect more on Assassin's Creed Odyssey at Ubisoft's press event later this evening, where we'll hoepfully get out first gameplay footage.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey: First Details Leaked via Playstation Store.

It may not surprise you to know that Ubisoft's presentation at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles included its annual, lengthy musical tie-in to its annual Just Dance franchise.

Of course, MacCoubrey didn't go into detail as to what those endings might be, or the decisions that'll change the course of the story, but she did delve a little into the ripple effect your choices have in the game. The game didn't get any new information other than the start of its open beta which starts on June 21st on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. In Odyssey, you can choose to play as Alexios or Kassandra, but it doesn't appear that Ubisoft made a statue for Kassandra. It's been in development for three years at Ubisoft Quebec, and you've gotta say Odyssey is a pretty gutsy name for a game about Greece. This is good though as both its graphics and gameplay as well as its soundtrack look promising. Stay tuned to SegmentNext for coverage on the remainder of it with Sony and Nintendo's shows.
