'Kingdom Hearts 3' Release Date Confirmed: January 2019

So, to all of you fans that have waited 13 years since the release of Kingdom Hearts 2, you now have a solid release date to hold onto and only have a few more months to wait. It's been 13 years since Kingdom Hearts II hit the PS2, so expect Square Enix to make as big a splash as possible for the final unveiling of the big sequel. Director Tetsuya Nomura apologized for the delay in a followup tweet, adding that more information and new trailers will debut at E3.

As announced at last night Kingdom Hearts Orchestra concert in Los Angeles, the highly anticipated game has been pushed back to January 29, 2019. The gang also does a little sledding down a snowy mountain on Goofy's shield, before showing off a fiery new summon, featuring Lion King's Simba, and a new river rafting ride summon.

And at the Microsoft E3 2018 press conference, we finally got a chance to see a brand new trailer for the game.

Still, it's good to finally have a date; Kingdom Hearts 3 was announced nearly five years ago to the day, so it's been a long time coming. Films like Toy Story, Monsters Inc. and Tangled are also going to be making their first appearances in Kingdom Hearts III. Let us know in the comment section below!
