20-year-old, Faith Rodgers, alleges that the musician abused her "mentally, sexually and verbally", filming her against her will in "deviant and compromising sexual contact".

Kelly is one of pop music's best-selling artists, with hits including "Ignition", "I Believe I Can Fly", and "Bump N' Grind". According to the New York Times, the suit alleges sexual battery, false imprisonment, and failure to disclose a sexually transmitted disease.

A lawyer representing the alleged victim, Faith Rodgers, filed the lawsuit on Monday, May 21, in New York Supreme Court.

R. Kelly's management is yet to comment on the scandal. He has always been the target of sexual misconduct allegations, which he has denied. On May 21, Faith Rodgers, 20, filed a lawsuit against the R&B singer at the Supreme Court in NY.

She said she only learned later that Kelly had herpes, and that she had been infected.

Rodgers says a few months later, in May, she was given travel arrangements go to NYC and meet up with Kelly after a concert.

In an emotional interview with the BBC, Faith described R Kelly's alleged sexual misconduct.

Kelly has denied any wrong doing and has not been charged with any crimes connected with women's the allegations.

Things are going from bad to worse for R. Kelly as it's been revealed that the disgraced r'n'b singer is being sued by an ex-girlfriend for infecting her with an STD. "So I was just waiting for it to be over", Rodgers said. After a two-month period of communication, Kelly invited her to one of his shows in New York City and paid for her hotel stay. He has crafted pop anthems and love songs but he is defined by sexually explicit songs such as "Feelin' on Yo Booty", "Your Body's Calling Me", "Sex Me" and even more explicit fare. Nonetheless, they continued to see each other, and Rodgers said that whenever Kelly was angry at her, he would lock her in closets without food or water to punish her. Rodgers said that there were times when Kelly would instruct his assistant to bar the door so that Rodgers couldn't run away.
