Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 launches on October 12, 2018, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Fans can pre-order now and get access to the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Private Beta*. Four new characters (Bruno, Diego, Shaw, and Charlotte) will travel to different time periods, slaughtering zombies and trying to take down some sort of cult in a Roman arena and aboard the Titanic. Recent "Call of Duty" campaigns have featured performance-captured celebrity talent from the likes of Kevin Spacey and Christopher Meloni, which probably drove up the games' budgets. Taking its place instead is a brand new Battle Royale mode called "Blackout" that promises to add some new life into the COD franchise. Players will assume the roles of characters from across the series as well as characters from the various Zombies chapters.

Overall, it looks like it has plenty of the same near-future gadgetry as "Black Ops III", just without any of the wall-running antics. Get a first look at Black Ops 4 multiplayer, below. The game does not have a traditional single player campaign, but it will have Multiplayer, Zombies and a new Battle Royale mode called "Blackout". Lastly, the new Zombie Rush mode streamlines the gameplay allowing players new and old to enjoy new challenges within the new Zombies experience. Multiplayer has been revamped to a whole new level, designed to offer more choice, reward more styles of play and create an even more intensely competitive experience.

"To make this super simple for you, this is a super serious year for us for Black Ops 4 on PC". A couple of the biggest reveals of the event were the absence of a single-player campaign, and the addition of a battle royale mode. The third Zombies experience wasn't detailed, but Activision says it will be launching with the other two modes when the game hits shelves this fall.

Players are strong on their own, but unstoppable as a team, especially when they combine Specialists in strategic ways to work together. Land, sea and air vehicles will all be available, along with the infamous "Zombies" mode's characters, weapons and power-ups.

Multiplayer has always been the biggest focus of the Call of Duty series and that doesn't seem to be changing in the slightest. Biggest of all, the game does not feature regenerating health in hopes that the player will think more tactically in regards to combat encounters and spatial awareness with the map, and the science-fiction elements have been toned down in comparison to the last Black Ops title.
