"Because you're all mostly white men?"

Ryan Reynolds (as Deadpool): "Yeah".

Deadpool 2 occasionally threatens to overstretch its material, but comes equipped with enough laugh-out-loud gags, wince-inducing kills and surprising cameos to delight diehard fans and casual viewers alike.

This ensemble of antiheroes combine forces for some truly gripping action sequences in the second half, including a white-knuckle street race through what is unmistakably Vancouver (although the setting is never explicitly identified) and an X-Force skydiving scene that is both visually stunning and laugh-out-loud amusing.

I see it being a real ensemble on a lot of levels just because I think it's interesting for Deadpool to kinda function in the way he does in his own universe.

Deadpool: [walking in from offstage] "Is it "Deadpool 2"?".

"Okay, I think you should go now", Colbert responded, but was rebuffed. "Which is not really Deadpool 3, but it's sorta a group effort".

The latest tale Reynolds has shared involves his rather frightening Wade Wilson makeup.

Other notable performances come from Zazie Beetz as Domino (a fantastic addition we can't wait to see more of) and Julian Dennison who plays the movie's centrepiece troubled child with unsafe mutant abilities.

Colbert: "That's- that's a- that's a different Fox".

And while he hasn't committed to a third movie, this is a cash cow, so you know it's probably gonna happen. We'll find out at some point, though X-Force has no official release date, so we don't know exactly when.

Brolin is an excellent villain, and the cast of supporting characters like Domino, Bedlam and Shatterstar are all solid in their roles. "So we'll just have to see". This brings him in contact with Russell (Julian Dennison), a young mutant who rebels against the sadistic tactics used on him and other mutants to convert them. Director David Leitch has more of a background in stunts, and he uses that knowledge to make each huge showdown bigger than the previous one.
