Google News gets an AI focused redesign

Google News will also let users indicate when they want to see more of a specific publisher. The amalgamation of all these factors will offer an in-depth outlook for a news story to the readers. Alternatively, users can opt out of seeing stories from specific publishers. You can then filter by category or region to see top stories just from the US, or in Sports, or Technology, for example. In addition to how news sources have written a particular story, Full Coverage will also sort out different comments through social media platforms, stats and facts and FAQs specific to the story reached for.

The new app will also include visual formats, known as newscasts, using images and videos from YouTube and the internet. Animation, bold headlines, and pull quotes give you the gist of each piece of information.

Google has confirmed that upon selecting a basic personalized list of choices, all users will be able to view the same content and listing at a given time, unfiltered. It maps relationships between people, places, and things in a story in real time, organizing it into storylines.

And if you want to dive in, you can be taken to the source of those individual snippets or even read the stories at large by jumping into the new Full Coverage view.

You can quickly follow publications with a single tap, and Google has made it dead simple to subscribe to paid publications. It is also comes with sections like "For You", "Full Coverage" and "Newsstand", along with something what's called "Newscasts" and "Subscribe with Google". Other new features will allow users to add a backup payment method to fall back on for those subscriptions that are critical - like your favorite streaming service, perhaps.

The advanced reporting was offered amid a solid handful of other developer features, including the ability to change SKU pricing with Google Play handling getting user confirmation through emails and push notifications; or handling the cancellation process if the user doesn't agree. But up until now, Google News has simply organized each and every article they could index into different categories while suggesting news to users based on the kind of content they were interested in. The search engine company has started rolling out the update, and it should be available to everyone in 127 countries on iOS, Android, and desktop the following week.
